The tribute to Lucio Dalla resumes abroad promoted by the Sorrentine writer, Raffaele Lauro, through his latest narrative and filmic works. And precisely in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia, on the initiative of the Italian Institute of Culture, directed by Luigina Peddi, within the Fifteenth Week of the Italian Language in the World 2015, “The Italian of music, the music of Italian”. Under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, under the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Sofia and the Sofia Municipality, the “Caruso” Evening of the Tribute to Lucio Dalla will take place on Wednesday, 21st October 2015, at the Great Hall of the Military Circle in Sofia. The event will be introduced by HE Marco Conticelli, the Italian Ambassador in Sofia. Silvana Abagnale will host the presentation of the biographical novel by Raffaele Lauro, “Caruso The Song - Lucio Dalla and Sorrento”. Among the speakers: Bogdan Patashev, Art Critic – the First Counsellor of the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Bulgaria; Vincenzo Scotti, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and of Cultural Heritage and President of the Link Campus University of Rome. The event will be followed by the screening of the documentary film (54') with Bulgarian subtitles, “Lucio Dalla and Sorrento - Places of the Soul” by Raffaele Lauro. “The theme of the Day of Italian culture in the world 2015 - said Raffaele Lauro - coincides perfectly with the artistic profile and the poetry of Lucio Dalla in words and in music, a universal message of love without limits, which is welcomed everywhere with enthusiasm. I am gratified to be able to bring this message abroad together with his masterpiece, ‘Caruso’, and the legendary name of Sorrento.”
