Raffaele Lauro (Sorrento, 1944) has recently written his 15th novel, after his début in 1987 with “Roma a due piazze” published by CEI (the Chianciano Award for Fiction 1987 Opera Prima). His further works: in 1991, “Metropolitania” published by Rusconi; in 1993, “Il sogno di Pedro” published by Rusconi; in 1997, “Il progetto”, “La crociera” and “La condanna” published by Lancio Editore; in 1998, “Mutus” published by Lancio Editore; in 2002 and 2003, “Quel film mai girato” in two volumes, published by GoldenGate Edizioni; in 2009, “Cossiga Suite” published by GoldenGate Edizioni; in 2013, “Sorrento The Romance - The conflict between Christianity and Islam in 16th century” published by GoldenGate Edizioni (www.sorrentotheromance.com), the first novel of “The Sorrentine Trilogy”; in 2015, “Caruso The Song - Lucio Dalla and Sorrento” published by GoldenGate Edizioni, dedicated to the famous song and the almost 50-year-long internal bond between Lucio Dalla and Sorrento  (www.carusothesong.com), the second novel of “The Sorrentine Trilogy”. Apart from literary career, Lauro held important institutional positions, such as Prefect of the Republic, Head of Cabinet of different ministries, government commissioner against racketeering and usury, and Senator of the 16th Legislature (www.raffaelelauro.it).
