“Lucio Dalla was in love with the sea of Massa Lubrense. He loved to swim in all the coves, inlets and beaches of the coast of Massa: from Puolo to Marina Lobra, from Punta San Lorenzo to Punta Campanella, from the Bay of Ieranto to Marina del Cantone, from Recommone the cove of Crapolla. To this relationship, lasted almost fifty years, between Lucio Dalla and Massa Lubrense, the Town Council will pay tribute, Saturday, May 28th, 2016, in Piazza Vescovado, with a celebration from the people, who aspires to involve the citizens, the people of Massa, the musicians and, in particular, the children. At 20.00, the mayor Lorenzo Balducelli will bring the greetings of welcome and will speak on “Lucio Dalla and the sea of Massa Lubrense”. Followed by a meeting in the square with the sorrentine writer Raffaele Lauro, author of “Caruso The Song - Lucio Dalla and Sorrento”, “Lucio Dalla and San Martino Valle Caudina - In the eyes and hearts” and “Lucio Dalla and Sorrento Tour - Stages, images and testimonies”, coordinated by the deputy mayor, Giovanna Staiano, during which journalists Antonino Pane e Antonino Siniscalchi will interview Lauro on “Lucio Dalla: man, poet and musician". At 21.15, the “Tribute to Lucio Dalla”, presented by Clara Rolla, by the band DOC, composed by Mario General on sax, Louis Belati on keyboards, Sergio Sepe on guitar, Pasquale Russo on bass, Marco Fontana on drums, with Imma Balduccelli’s voice. They will perform fifteen of the most beautiful songs by Lucio Dalla. The event will end at 23.00, with the launch in the sky, by massese children, of thousand balloons with the words “Bye Lucio”.
